Kevlar line for PTFE mesh belt patching

Aramid 1414 is manufactured using raw materials from DuPont KEVLAR (Kevlar) in the United States. The full name of aramid fibre is ‘poly-p-phenylene
synthetic fibre. It possesses excellent properties such as high strength, high modulus, resistance to high temperatures, acids and alkalis, and light weight. Its strength is 2 to 3 times that of steel wire or glass fibre, its toughness is twice that of steel wire, whilst its weight is only about one-fifth that of steel wire; it does not carbonise until temperatures exceed 560 degrees.
It offers good insulation and anti-ageing properties, and has a very long service life.
