Enabling Vacuum Conveying: This is the primary function of hollow bosses. Through the through-holes in the centre of the bosses (or their gaps), in conjunction with the vacuum chamber at the base of the conveyor, lightweight, smooth or slippery materials (such as films, paper, small electronic components and pharmaceutical blister packs) can be securely held in place, enabling high-speed, stable vertical or inclined conveying.
Non-contact Support and Positioning: The studs ‘lift’ the materials, reducing the contact area between the materials and the base belt surface. This effectively prevents scratches on the surface of sensitive materials and ensures precise spacing between items through the precise spacing of the studs.

Q: What is the weld strength of the hollow bosses? Will they detach under vacuum pressure?
A: We utilise state-of-the-art hot melt welding technology. The boss and the base strip fuse at a molecular level at the melting point, and the weld strength often exceeds the tensile strength of the boss material itself. Under normal vacuum loads, the bosses are extremely secure and will not detach or become misaligned.
