This tape is designed for threaded connections in environments where electrostatic discharge (ESD) poses a risk, such as in fuel handling systems, chemical transfer lines, explosive atmosphere zones, and electronic manufacturing facilities. The black color indicates the presence of static-dissipative additives, ensuring that static electricity does not accumulate on the taped surface or the joint.
